I have never had luck with it blind calling. The only time I had it work was probably 7 years ago. A buck came sprinting by in the early stages of the rut about 50 yards away. When he went over the hill I hit the primos can call....about 2 minutes later he came in on a rope to 20 yards.....and then I blew my second bow shot on a beautiful 8 point.

I have good results with it towards the rut and during. I use the lil' can and just tip it over 2-3 times in about 30 seconds and then wait 15 seconds or so and then do it 2-3 more times while at the same time doing tending grunts on my grunt call (tru talker).
I have had success both calling blind and calling when I've seen or heard deer.

last year was the first time i used it, i used 1 time on a 6 point. i let him walk by but at about 20 yds past me i would hit the can and he would walk back right under my tree, i did it 3 times just messing with himand he came back each time...heres the funny part i attempted a 4th try and turnedthe can overhalf a** and made a terrible sound!! he didnt like that and left!! quite funny...30 mins later i shot my biggest buck. BUT yea it works!!!

I've never had any luck cold calling, but during the rut, I've had success on a few occasions pulling some bucks into range that otherwise would have past on by. Just like a grunt tube, I've had more ignore it thancome to it, but yes at times it has done the trick.
