Default String getting Louder!

I have noticed lately that my string is getting louder and louder. It has a very noticeable buzz/twang when shooting now.
The only thing that has changed with the bow, is that I think maybe the string stretched. On a pse xforce hf, there is a vertical white line on each cam that lines up to the side of the string. The string is now about 1/8" away from this line on each cam., and I've noticed that my anchor has creeped back about a half inch.
Could the noise be related to this?

Oh, absolutely. The string creeps (elongates) and you have already noticed the cam position and longer draw length. Als the weight usually goes up a bit and the cams are over rotated. This over rotation is what causes most of the noise.

This close to hunting season I'd just twist it back to it's original length, paying attention to the cam position. Later, after season is over I'd replace the whole works with something good. A suggestion would be Gibblet, right here on this site.

Good question!

I was shooting last night....and I've been noticing how "loud" my bow is the last few times I'v ebeen shooting ("loud" is relative). Last night....I took a shot and my new octane quiver mount came loose and the entire quiver shifted.

I re-positioned everything, tightened up the screws....and it's back to mouse-like quietness.

Check the screws. Good luck.

Definitely check all of the screws. The second day of shooting my new101'stI noticed a
"buzzzz--twang " that was gettinglouder with each shot. Only twenty or shots total on the bow. I started tappingthe bow from one end to the other trying to identify the source. I found it and wasn't very happy. When they set the bow up they apparently forgot to tighten thescrews on the bottom cam and it was almost in two pieces.[:@]

A month ago I had loose screws on my cam, but tapping the bow from top to bottom found and fixed that. I tried shooting it today and think I screwed up my shoulder drawing it back so far. Hurts like hell. What sucks, is every bow shop around here has regular presses, nobody has the one to use for the xforce. Gotta drive a few hours to get it done.
