Schultzy....when someone disagrees with you....it's often FAR from "ridiculous". If ag fields couldn't be hunted.....I'd say they weren't technically "bait". GR8's already conceded that food plots "are".

So the "intent" for why the hunter is hunting the ARTIFICIAL stimulus is the key, right? WHY are you hunting near the ag fields?
Your beating this subject to death, that's why I say It's getting ridiculous! For the most part I don't hunt on ag fields, there a pain in the ass!! You aren't going to shoot big bucks hunting field edges just to often unless It's early season or late season and there still a bitch to do It then. 2nd I hunt the trails that lead to possibly a feeding area. Weather Its, corn, beans, water, acorns, etc. Wether the food source Is artificial or not your hunting It or the trails that lead to It to be successful. Baiting Is just like I do bear hunting, lay some stuff out and hope like hell they come to it. There's a huge difference between the 2 that you call both baiting.

i agree with the fact that this subject is getting beat down, but all i can say is this:

as long as you following the laws, doing whatever you have to get a big buck down, shouldnt be such a big problem! the whole point is to get out and hunt, so wheter it be a bait pile, or a huge cornfield, just knock him down!! save the discussion for when your eating him with the mashed taters!
