stupidest regs
#1

The barbed broad head thread got me thinking about some of the stupid regulations that are out there or have been .
what is the dumbest reg you state has or had in your opinion.?
Mine use to require you to put your name and address on the arrow but they did away with that. yea like poachers would
put there name on it

We have to shoot 6 grains per pound of draw weight. (That means 420 grains at 70#)
We aren't allowed to use mechanical broadheads.
We aren't allowed to use broadheads with serrated blades. (Magnus Stinger Buzzcuts)
We can't use lights on our sights.
We can't use Lumenocks.
We're only allowed one deer per hunter, per year.
We can bait deer and elk, but not bear.
I could keep going, but...

In our team thread Southdakotahunter was saying how the max cutting diameter he can have is 1 7/8. Do they not want you to be able to kill deer quicker and more humanely???
I feelfor you too Dan, one deer per year?? Only bait certain species? where do they come up with this stuff???

Dan...maybe I shouldn't say what Virginia allows but I'll say it anyway.
We're allowed six deer per year, three of those are either-sex tags. We can also buy unlimited "bonus" tags for does. I feel for you man. That's rough.

maryland is the same way.. we can bait deer but not bear. maryland thinks if they kill 50 bears a year in 2 counties there keep the population in tact... theres so many damn bears runnin around now its sick.. but the dnr says there isnt any.. wait til they hit DC an baltimore then they'll want every damn bear in 3 states shot!
