Great shooting bow, I have an 80# Katera. Smooth draw cycle that never kicks over harshly. The low brace height isn't noticeable when shooting it and it's fast for a Hoyt. A little heavy but over all it is a solid bow.

it's a great shooting bow, I've got one I've been shooting for a couple months. As said above short BH is no big deal. Mine shoots 295 70# 29' draw 413 gr arrow. You will love it!!

If your skill level or experience level is low, then you might consider the higher braced XL model.

I would consider my skill level high and I have shot the bow and can say it doesn't hold as well as the longer ,higher brace XL model.

Wow only 295 on a 29" draw...? I assumed you would get more from this new model. Yes I have bought it and picking it up on friday. I shot this one and the Bpw Tech General last week. I didnt like the harsh draw on the General but the general was so vibration free you couldnt tell if you shot it or not. The Katera was overall (I thought) a better shooting bow and fit to my size. I like the shorter axle to axle and thought with a short draw it would give me more speed thqan any other bow. Funny, I was at this new archery shop and have been shooting a 29" draw for the last 10 years...make a long story short the dealer was like..."your not a 29" your a 27". So we will see. Thanks for the imput

He was shooting a 413gr. arrow at 295. The IBO speed rating are for a 350gr. bow at 330fps.

Remember when they rate the bows for speed they use a 30" draw and a 350 gr arrow so I'm down 1" on draw and 63 grs heavier so that is why I'm not getting the advertised speed. However the 295 was through a chrono.
