Not sure about the deflection number but the number of dots means nothing other than a good reference point once your cams are optimally timed for the greatest letoff.
Around 6 is where my bow is set but it can depend bow to bow.

I had a problem with my cams and limbs for which they were replaced by warrenty. When the bow would only draw 52# I took it back after the shop in Md ordered another pair of limbs thinking Bowtech sent the wrong ones. To make a long story short upon looking at the bow when I brought it back in the shop said my problem was right here, 6 dots were showing and it should only be 4 and blamed it on the wrong string size. The string had been on for more than a year was was purchashed right here at HNI, no problems in all that time.So he twists the string and says here, all fixed. All my previous settings were off and the sight pin couldn't be adjusted, ran out of adjustment and the string now set off the surpresser by 1/4 inch. I called Bowtech and they said no to the 4 dots,4 was right on an 07 and 08 Allegence but on the 06six should be showing. Nick at Bowtech told me to have the limbs taken off and look at the deflection # which should be 87. Ifit isnt 87 then the wrong limbs are on the bow. Waiting for the answer as the bow is in another shop.
