Is that your treestand strap that is broken in the pics? It looks pretty skinny for a stand strap. I always double ratchet my stands in addition to the stock strap.

Not only should we all wear the harnesses, make sure to do a quick inspection of the stand before stepping on, it only takes a second and, ovbiously, it may save your life!!

Thanks guys. No, no tools hit the strap. I had just got up in the tree and started to trim the branches out and behind the tree.
Bri, that was a 1" nylon webbing...double ratchet strapped !
No squirrel damage, no branches hit it...It just failed.
