primos vest

I have one of the Primos bowhunter vests and think highly of it too , get you normal size and fits all tasks . I use mine over a t-shirt and also over my layers they are designed with the elastic on the back to keep tioght to your body , so as not to snag or get in the way of your bow . I'm using mine in Colorado in mid to late September , varying degree's of temp and have full faith in my vest to handle the job . Just get a size larger if in doubt , but they are good .

I bought one two seasons ago and have never used it. It seemed like a good idea at the time but I just didn't likehow it felt and hung after loadingall of thepockets up. I don't like any moreon my upper body than is necessary when bow hunting. I carry everything I need in my cargo pants pockets and/or a small fanny pack. It was nicely made though.

I've used one for years and bought a real nice pack last year and decided to put everything in my pack and go without the vest. By 2 weeks into the season I had the vest loaded up again and the pack was sitting at home. It is one of my favorite hunting accessories.

I purchased one two seasons ago: at first I liked the vest and the ample storage. However, a nice 8 point chased a doe directly under and behind my stand and then stopped. I turned, leaned over, drew, and released. The pull tab on the lower left pocket snagged in the lower cam, yanking the tab off of the vest and sending my shot 1 1/2 ' to the left. I never used the vest again (I still have it, minus the missing pull tab).
I now own an HSS harness vest and have been very well pleased: it integrates the harness (I used to use a separate harness with the Primos vest and wrestle with the tangles when I put it on) and the vest. While the HSS vest has slightly less roomy pockets, they are enough to hold all necessary gear with no pull tabs to snag and no tangled harness straps.

I bought one about 5 years ago and love it...I pack in a climber and it was a pain to carry a climber and either a fanny pack or a backpack plus the climber...By using the vest it is easier for me to carry a climber...I also use it during muzzleloader season and gun season instead of a backpack...
Plus I use it during turkey season for my calls in addition to a backpack which has my decoys in it and a seat cushion tied to it as well...
