Hunting Shows you don't like.....does it influence you???

IMO a lot has to do with how many timesI have to see a particualr sponsor and / or manufacturer on the television in a nightor in a magazineasI flip through it and how many idiots I have to listen to talk about a certain manufacturer during the actual show.I get to the point whereI just want them to shut up and go away and my first instinct is to not purchase their product(s)
There are afew sponsors out there that pay so many people and / or idiots, and pay for so many shows that their products prices are dramatically effected though their actual product does not come close to commanding such a highprice tag.
Yet it is obviously working for them because theykeep doing it and keep selling their products. There are obviously enough sheep willing to "follow the herd" instead of researching the products that they purchase.

I try not to let anyone influence what I buy no matter who it is. I dont think I look down on a product because of who their tv show host is but if I think something is a silly ideaor junk I will definately look down on it.
That being said, ifalotof people are not watching a show because they dont like it their sponsorship dollars are going to waste.
There are quite a few shows that I have to wonder how in the heck they ever got on the air and why sponsors are paying them?

I do miss Fred Eichler's show though, for some reason. That was my favorite show on TV, for whatever reasons.
It makes no difference to me either way when it comes to buying a product if I like or dislike a show.

Matt I fall in line with your original train of thought......
If something influences me ADVERSELY....I'm much more inclined to NOT support those sponsors....than I would be if I was pleased with a production.
In my line of work (commercial construction) we have to worry about the one client we piss off. He'll tell EVERYONE. The people we please "might" tell a few.

A show I don't like or that is not well made will have no influence on what products I buy, but now that I know what you have to do to actually get a sponsor and how many requests for sponsorship any good manufacturer gets it makes me wonder how some of these shows do get sponsors. When I see what they are putting out and who their sponsors are it makes me think they must have one kick ass media kit.
