1. He's using a wind-checker....and touting the importance of playing the wind.

2. "He knows I'm here, I believe....but he thinks he's protected"....lol This GIANT deer is in the woods....looking at him the whole time. Please.

3. "I knocked his running gear out" (when he shoots him). If there wasn't a fence....you'd never SEEN this deer....lol.

I've got it DVR'd....and it just keeps getting better

Pearson..

"They can go in an area....and you'll never see the deer, again"

"They can go nocturnal....and you'll never see 'em in daylight hours"

"the wind's gotta be right. The barometer's gotta be right. The weather's gotta be right"

"I hunt the ridges in the mornings......bottoms in the afternoon"

Who is this trying to fool?

I tend to take those shows for what they are worth. Pure entertainment . Rarely are they educational or useful in any other way. They need to be entertaining to stay on television. If they need to lie to do that, they will. It all boils down to character. Most of the public [myself included] choose to remain ignorant to the truith. Let me ammend that. I shouldn't presume to speak for the public. I should think that most people think as I do,but I may be wrong. I just want to be i
entertained.

Jeff, I think we were talking about the same show, actually.

I saw the same thing. I thought the HF you got invited to was in NC, and I heard the guy say OH.

Horrible show.

People put too much dang pressure on themselves and others to continually kill huge bucks for TV/video, or for their own personal ego. I would not sell my soul to kill bucks every year, like hunting in a fenced area, just to make money. Although I don't hunt around alot of big bucks, I like the way I hunt....me, my bow, and the woods.

Again....

I have NO ISSUES with anyone hunting a HF. It's legal....and what they take from it is none of my business or concern.

But when you try to pass it off as something other than what it is......I feel like my intelligence is being insulted. I felt that way watching this show. What a joke.

I agree with you Jeff, i used to love watching hunting on TV until all of the gomers took over. Now i tune in for about 2 minutes then get disgusted and have to watch soap operas just so i feel smart again...its a crying shame...

I rarely ever tune in to hunting shows anymore just because of that kind of crap.

You are spot on about telling it like it is Jeff. If its a high fence hunt(sounds more like a canned hunt in this case), no biggie but passing it off as a free ranging hunt and offering tips on educating hunters while hunting that way..................its total crap!

Big reason I am turned off by many hunting shows these days.
