RE: Ultimate Outdoor Adventures w/ Wayne Pearson
I too saw the show and agree. I have seen other episodes and to be honest, this one was one of their better... how sad is that? I have heard Mr. Pearson talk about where he is hunting before and talking about the "strict management program" and how that is the "only way to get these bucks so large" blah blah blah... he never mentioned the fence, just talked about how strict of management they have, it was pretty ridiculous.

These shows have to produce-for the Sponsors and viewers-and produce they do.Problem is they can make it look however they want. This is probably more common to the industry than we could imagine.Big money and exotic locations are likely a good indicator the deck is stacked.

That does sound awful. Didn't see it but I've seen just as bad.
For a good show look for one called Heartland Bowhunter. I have no affiliation with them whatsoever. It's just flat out the best hunting show I have ever seen. Beautifully photographed with staff that don't act like idiots before or after the shot. They show everything even the f ups. They film the actual blood trail. Nothing is staged or reinacted. Typically has great theme music. And did I mention the unbelievable photography? Just has a look, feel, and style that is unique from any other I have watched. And trust me I am a harsh critic of hunting shows.

A DIY hunt and Scout Buck of any size is a much better trophy than a 200" deer shot in a fence. I may do a pig shoot in a fence someday but it will be a "Pig Shoot" for meat at a friends ranch in texas.

About 13 years ago I got hooked up with W. Pearson when he was trying to start his Dodge Outfitters Club. Up to that point I knew nothing about the man, but I got educated in a hurry. He's all about game farms and high fence, thats the only way his fat *** can bag any game! I have very little if any respect for him, but he can cook a good T-bone and his beer was cold, lol
