Default best locking system for stands

what do you guys find is the best locking system for stands i have a ladder 2 man. I was thinking of a cable type stand lock from cabelas.
do you think this will deter any thiefs or is it a waste of money.

The stand cost 100 bucks not sure who would want to go to the trouble to go get bolt cutters or a drill come back hang around get it down and drag it out of the woods.

Chain and padlock. If they want it bad enough I'm gonna make them work for it.

Yeah. Id say go pretty cheap (so they at least need tools to get it off). A lock only keeps an honest man away not a theif.

I use a 10 inch ledger lock bolt that has a special star bit that fits it. You would need a 18v drill driver with that exact bit to remove it. it fits nice and flush to the stand and is case hardened , also they don't rust. They work great . You have to go way out of your way to steal it with one of them on it. I think the parent company is fasten master
