Default Thanks Guys!

Before I forget....A while back I posted about my shoulder problems and got a lot of great advice. I have been excercising that arm and shooting every other day. I also got some great advice on my form. Anyway, over the past few weeks, I have not been happy with the speed of the arrow and the penetration at 38 lbs, so every so often, I crank up the tension and reset the sights. When I started, I would get about 4" of penetration into the target. Now, I have the draw up to 48 lbs and the arrow is penetrating 7 - 8" into the target and the speed of the arrow is A LOT faster.

Y'all have been very very helpful in getting me ready for this season.

THANKS TO ALL
With a special shoutout to Virginia Shadow!!!!

It's real simple AF. If it hurts you're doing something wrong.[8D][8D] Don't do it.[8D]

Evidently, you've been away from the military too long! All 33 years I was in, all I heard was "Pain is good" and "Pain makes you stronger!"

Thank you very much AF. It makes me feel good that your first season since you retired will be an enjoyable one in the field! You deserve it and I really hope you put an arrow or two in some nice deer.

Thanks for the well wishes & the great advice. I'd probably have given up by now without it. I'm ready to whack a deer or two, if I still own this place by then.

Just watch that shoulder and make sure when you crank up the poundage that your arrows are still within spec.I doubt your arrows are still the correct spine with that much of a change or they were stiff to begin with, which is HIGHLY likely being you were shooting that low of poundage.
