Default Bowtech owners and cable slides

I've been shooting Bowtechs since the fall of '06. I've had several of their bows, now, and have almost alwayshad to deal with clearance issues with Blazers and the cables.

I went to the bow shop at lunch....and we stuck one on the shop owner's bow (bow like mine) and man what a difference. No press needed.....and there is no more issue. I can now shoot cock vane up and clear my rest without a problem.

A little money goes a long ways.

SIms cable slide (cable slide was in the thread header).

I suppose a lot of them would do the trick, though.

I wouldn't use the Sims. It's making clearance, but the Sims will yank them over enough to induce additional torque on the cable system. Since there are no yokes on the cables to balance this out with, this can induce unnecessarycam lean. The Hick 3D teflon slide will give enough clearance for blazers on a normal hunting shaft but won't yank everything over quite as far as a Sims slide.

There is a very good reason why Pat recommends the Hicks slide instead of the Sims. It works well, I've personally used it on my bows to get enough clearance for Blazerson an 04 Patriot, 05 Allegiance, 05 Old Glory, 06 Constitution, 07 Constitution, and 07 Guardian. They sell them at Lancaster's site for $4.99.

My best bud Dan (Jaws) just got a used Commander that had a Sims slide on it. The cams were leaning pretty good both at static and full draw. I slipped that slide off it and replaced with a Hicks and now no more cam lean.

Just an FYI..........[8D]

Thanks, Matt. I'll order the hicks, then. We just used what he had on hand.
