Although not a "rule" the P&Y measurer I use suggests listing a buck as a non typical if the rack has around 10% or greater of it's score in abnormal points, other wise he suggests the typical category.
EX. 180 inch deer with 18 inchesof abnormal points.
The choice is up to whom ever is entering the deer, only a suggestion he offers to those "caught" in that predicament.

It makes no sense to deduct from a rack, especially a non-typical rack...ummm hello it's NON typical. Such is life though.
Germ--do you have a picture of that buck? That was before my HNI time.

Germ, AWSOME buck, congrats. That buck was also before my time here. Would you mind sharing the story behind him? Did you know of the bucks existance before you took him, or was the time you shot him the first time youve seen him? Great buck again.

Dad states he is never turning down a stand I offer again
Two years in a row I did that, I shot a 140+ 10 in 2005 after I offered him the stand.
