I gotta say, there are some interesting breakfast choices listed here. I'm also one of those guys thatmust eat upon waking up. I try to stay pretty fit and like to get the fire burning (metabolism) as soon as I can after waking up. I've also read (and experienced) that eating a high carb breakfast helps the brain stay alert while on stand. (High carb/low sugar; a lot of sugar triggers the pancrease to release as much insulin needed to override the sugar causing you to "crash")
I usually try to eat something like oatmeal or a healthy choice of cereal. I also drink a good amount of coffee on the way to my hunting spot. I make all attempts to get "cleaned out" before I climb the tree.
That way I can enjoy a couple dips while on stand and not wind up having to take a massive just when the deer show up.

I can't eat in the morning. It upsets my stomach. I might have an energy drink depending on how much sleep I got.

Young guys need the energy drink before a hunt, it should almost be a rule
