Default Doe urine for cover scent

What's everyone use for a cover scent? Besides scent killers. I've heard of fox, coon, and others but I've used doe urine. What I usually do is put an old sock over my boots and soak them down. Now is this the best way? or should I try something different? I use doe cause I'd think deer would be less likely to shy away from where I've walked. Any opinions?

Coon piss will work better from a stand because deer wont be surpriised by it, Doe will work well for a ground blind for the same reason. This is the junk they fed us at my bowhunting course.

you can also cut the tarsal glands of of a previous deer ( they are coated in urine) I know a guy who does this and he rubs them on himself and puts them in pantyhose ad lays them around his blind and trails them behind him on the way to his blind

No cover scenthides anything from a deer's nose.
Put coon, doe, etc on and the deer will simply smell your scent plus that one.
These can work as attractant or curiousity scents, but NOTHING HIDES human scent from them.

There are ways to reduce your scent so that you are viewed as less of a threat, but again, you cannot hide it.

You ever seen that video of the guy who sprays himself with doe urine before going into the field? Hillarious!!!! I think he is probably still in counselling after what that buck did to him.

I would NOT use doe urine especially close to the rut!

What's the purpose of drag rags then? The socks I'd take off close to the stand. Wouldn't that kinda be the same thing?
