I think the bottom line is, for the most part, bigger is better. It's human nature.Who goes fishing to see if they can catch"the small one"? What women is hoping she gets a small engangement ring? We all want the big buck, some just won't admit.
Taking that same approach to dating is not advisable.

I can recall MANY times red drum fishing.....saying "don't be too big" when I was fighting one.

But for deer hunting....I have to agree with the majority.

I think alot of guys where I am from shoot small bucks because they are scared if they pass this one, it may be the only one they see for the year. They are also inthe mind frame that if they shoota doe thats three less deer next year. So shooting a small buck is their only option. However I feel they are defeating the purpose, i think if they started passing the smaller deer eventually we would have some nicer trophies...
