Default Seasons are getting close (checklist)

Figured I’d throw out a little list that people can add to and make sure we cover all the needed preparations before the season starts and maybe help someone from scrambling around last minute to get things straightened out.

Clothes washed
Broadheads shot/tuned in (and resharpened or blades replaced)
Shoot from elevation & in hunting jacket/facemask
Stands checked for worn straps/rust/damage
Knife sharpened
Care after harvest thought out
Maps
Extra batteries
Screws on bow & accessories lock tited down

Add anything else you may find helpful

Shop for a taxidermist and check him out beforehand. Have it all in place-know who you will use and how to contact him/her.

Touch base with landowners. Has your vehicle changed? Are you bringing in another, new hunter? etc...
Shooting lanes cut?
Entrance/Exit routes to stands in good shape? Marked (if needed)?
Harness examined?
Bowstring/cables in good shape?
Scent elim. spray?
