Id sell in a heartbeat....not like I would be selling that memory anyway...if it was big enough for someone to approach me to buy it, well it would most likely be put on display and mucho bucks would exchange hands.

Their just antlers guys....the memory would stay forever. I guess it all depends on what is the table and what caliber buck we are talking, but yes I would have zero regrets of selling a set of antlers off of a deer I killed. Money talks, BS walks. Im betting 2/3 of people in this thread would have a check in their name if they killed the next typical world record buck this season. To be honest, with a check that big, id buy a large farm outright some where and take up residency there to live the rest of my life...chasin the next world record.

I always try and take good photos with my kills anyway...I catch myself looking at the photos of my hunts waay more often than mounts/antlers/fans and such. They are more like decoration to me. A great photo with a ear to ear smile says it all and is irreplacable IMO.

My point is you still have the memories, the photos, everything but the actual antlers.

I'mjust glad I don't need any more money to do what I love.

But at what price could you do more of what you love? Buy the whole mountain. Go on a whim anywhere, anytime, no saving, no vacation time. I mean yes we are talking dreaming stuff here. But suppose Cabelas saw your Elk Racks and said Jim we need them for the new store. Here's a million apiece, come see them when-ever you wish.
Without blinking you say..Nah?
As long as they are hide away in my den that temptation will never happen. I'm a simple man when it comes to pleasures.
Too late I called them and told them. Their calculators are smokin as we speak.Picture it: Your own mountain. Awesome cabin, with hot and cold running Labatts Blue from every solid gold faucet.Land so fertile the bucks would be born with racks, and no internet access..ahh true bliss

Money isnt everything and it doesnt solve all of lifes problems, I guess thats why I chose teaching school over many other career opportunities I could have pursued and the good Lord has always provided what I needed in life, I'd never sell the original unless of a family hardship; if the rack was such a freakthey wanted replicas I may let them make those but it would cost them and it better be for a goodcause or they could pound sand

Only for a really badhardship since the wife wouldn't let me sell one of the kids and no one wants Bandit!! Troy would track me down and beat me up if I sold his elk shed he gave me. [8D]

Seriously...if I had to sell them due to a hardship, I wouldn't want a replica. Looking at the fake thing would just make me regret even morehaving to sell them. Troy's elk shed would notget sold under any circumstance.
