Any deer I take, doesn't matter the size or the rack, or the size of the doe IT IS A TROPHY to me , gun or bow! Im thankful for every opportunity i get to shoot a whitetail deer!

Guys .... look at the percentages ... those of us that consistantly kill deer with ANY weapon are outnumbered by those that don't 2-1 ...... at best .....4 - 1 with a bow ..

well if i worked hard scouted and was able to get an animal that i obviously wanted to shoot cause i did then it is a trophy in my eyes.

Preach, they are ALL trophies in my book, every animal I kill no matter the weapon, are trophies to me! YES every animal, I don't JUST bowhunt for deer, I'm a hunter and love every minute of it!!
A matter of a fact, I'm thawing out part of one of my trophies as we speak. I'll be throwing some cheese on it a bit later!

Well, first PT, you need to define what a trophy is. Most, I would suspect say a trophy is one you are going to mount on the wall and admire. I sure am not going to mount a doe. I even have killed one of the largestsika deer doein MD. It weighed over 99lbs dressed. Anyone that knows sikas, knows thatsfreakin huge.Close to a record in MD. But you are not going to see me mount it.
But I really enjoyed the hunt and enjoyed eating it.

I posted a pic last year of a 20" 7pt I took on heavily pressured public ground. I think because of the situation I am prouder of that deer than any other I ever killed. Sure isn't the largest.
