Bowhunters ...... Are all the deer taken by you a trophy to you?

RE: Bowhunters ...... Is ANY deer taken by you a trophy to you?
I love every minute i spend bowhunting...every single second.
Am i proud of the fact that i have killed young deer (fawns)dumber than most house cats? No
Do i consider those deer trophies? No
"Trophy" is something that is much to personal to be defined in black and white but for me - some deer i kill are trophies others are just food.

I don't use the term "trophy" when referring to deer. Most everyone else does and that's fine, but my trophies are my rodeobuckles.
That being said, any deer I shoot with a bow I amvery proud of, regardless of their size. Moreso than those killed with my guns.

I voted that all were trophies only because I'm proud of the accomplishment of killing a deer with a bow, but I don't view deer for thier "trophy" status.

Answer edited - by virtue of the original question changing....
No. I don't view every animal I've taken with the bow as a trophy (given the definition of "trophy" by the OP). That ONLY means that there are animals of which I am neither "proud" nor "ashamed"to have killed.

RE: Bowhunters ...... Is ANY deer taken by you a trophy to you?
Right now, only nice bucks are trophies to me. At one point in my life they all were, but that has long passed. I’m not being arrogant, or horn obsessed, just candid. I can and do shoot a lot of does, and after so many it loses its impact. I love shooting does, I have more fun doing so than anything, but when I walk up to one laying dead on the ground, there is no sense of trophy but there is some sense of accomplishment.
Now, like I said before, if I should be so lucky to take any deer with my traditional bow, I will be very proud and very happy to have done so. Will that doe magically elevate to “trophy” status….I’m not sure. But the sense of accomplishment will certainly skyrocket, and I guess if you measured trophy in that sense then yes she would easily be one. Will I get her mounted, no. But I do hope to tan her hide.

I appreciate every animal that I shoot...but they are not all trophies to me.
The trophies end up on my wall.
The rest simply serve the purpose of becoming food.

Ok Preach, i will use the term. no not all of them are "trophies", I appreciate them all, but a "trophy" is unique to me, most does are not all that unique to me, they all look the same, however, Im thankful for every last one I take. Bucks can be unique. im just saying..
