That spot would be the highest point on the property, a hill side with oaks and a group of cedars. By the time the rut hits it's hard to find a tree less that 10 inches in diameter that doesn't have a rub. It also has an old logging road that runs to the top.

Pre-rut: I like to hunt funnel`s or travel routs between feedingand bedding areas ect..(This is also a good time to use grunt calls ect..)
The rut itself: I like to try to finda group of doe`s.(hopefully hot)
Set up down wind but close by..
Post rut: find the thickest bedding area i can find and set-up down wind.
