Hunting from a blind...

Hunting from a blind...
I'm thinking of hunting from a blind to start the season this year and need some advice from anyone who's tried it in the past.
1) Does shooting through the mesh windows affect arrow flight?
2) Is it better to set up before the season or hump it in the days of thehunt?
3) A good blind for the money. I don't really want to spend $350 for a Double Bull.
3) Tips for success/any mishaps you've had.
Thanks a bunch, fellas

RE: Hunting from a blind...
i use a ameristep penthouse blind ocasonally. about $180 good for archery. i set it up when i hunt an area. problem is it gets dark in the blind sooner than when you are outside. use a lighted sight

I tried shooting for an ameristep doghouse blind in my backyard last night and it was too small. [&o]It is perfect for gun, but too small for archery. My only advice would be to get a bid blind.

I will help as much as I can. The mesh doesnt effect flight for the most part but you also have to use the right type of broadhead. Fixed blades are the best and some mech. heads work fine too. Try it out prior to hunting and make sure you are getting good arrow flight. You may need to make a few adjustments and fine tuning.
You can set them up either before season or not. Whichever you prefer. Iusually take mine in and out for the most part because of the thieves. You can set it up before hand if you feel comfortable with it. I have had good luck both ways.
Double bulls are the best but there are alot of other good blinds out there too. Probly the two best cheaper ones are the ameristep intimidator

and the new ground max blinds

Make sure you shop around. You can sometimes find good deals on ebay, etc. too
One tip I have. Use a bowstand and have an arrow nocked at all times. Things can show up fast when you are on the ground and you have to be ready
