My mother was abducted by aliens and I'm the spawn. No eartag.

That's because aliens don't use eartags. Spawn of aliens are marked with a small transmitter in their belly button....at least that's the way they marked me.

Cougars in Pa........Pffffffffft

We are not talking about bowhunting here at all. These guys are hired to kill deer, whatever methods they use. Do you honestly think shooting some deer at night under bait is ethical? These guys kill many of these deer at night, not in a blind or stand with a bow. This has absolutely nothing to do with suburban bowhunting. This is legalized POACHING.
Was this info on their site? I gotta go back and look, again.
I don't know if it was on their site or not. Everyone knows that these guys who are hired to exterminate deer do most of it at night when everyone is sleeping. I read an article in a magazine where hired deer snipers killed over 100 deer in a few nights. All done at night. I promise you, these guys don't do most of their killing during daylight hours. If anyone on this site thinks this is ethical, then you need some serious help. These guys are hired killers, not hunters.
Where are you getting this nonsense? Specifically, what in the world makes you think this group of guys are killing deer with bait at night, or are hired snipers?

The group of guys that do this, at least in my area (near Tyler), are strictly bowhunters. That's the only reason they are able togain access to these properties. These folks don't like gun hunting at all!

Ditto here.

If you read the webpage....they mention bowhunting....but I'm not sure they do mention gun hunting.

Wow,lot's of insanity.First of all,the original thread was about two different things. One,groups trying to call themselves professionals. These guys are doing what they have to do to get on to land that has very limited access.Cheesy?Maybe, but not illiegaland they must obey all laws. They also don't get depredation permits to use whenever, because Pa doesn't have such a thing.

The second topic was hired sharpshooters. In many cases, hunters simply can't get the job done do to a variety of reasons. In this case, they can apply to have shapshooters come in and kill deer. This is done at night, over bait and usually with the use of a silenced rifle. This is population control.Don't confuse it with hunting and don't confuse it with what local bowhunting organizations are doing.

There are many many areas of Pa that had way too many deer for way too long. The evidence is overwhelming and indisputable.

The PGC never released any mountain lions? Why not? They would lose their Pittman Robertson funds is they did so.No state is that stupid and no state would put a tag or tatoo on an animal as to guarantee they got caught. That's pure B.S.If pa has mountain lions, they know how to fly because they never make any tracks.A dozen mountain lions would certainly make tracks.Sorry, but the story is B.S and the person that started it is a liar.

This thread was filled with 11 pages of mistruths and nonsense.

Doug - so you're saying that in the thousands and thousand of game lands, there couldn't be 2 mountain lions? I know that in NC, even less probable, but I have seen cat tracks almost as big as my hand. And I do trap, hunt do taxidermy, etc so Iknow what a cat track looks like. Big bobcat? Maybe but it would be huge.Heck there are tons of people who don't know we have coyotes.

I think a big reason this group exists and can do what they do is because of the gentleman named Walter on there. Your organization goes a lot farther when you have the police at your back. It goes as far as you want it to when you are the Chief of Police! Its a good idea though, does anybody want to start the Northern Illinois Deer management group with me!!

Oh ya, There was a mountain lion shot by my place in downtown Chicago last year. No ear tag, but Chicago may be letting them loose. There is enough of the two legged cougars running around down around here!! Except I bait them in with dinner and Cosmopolitans!

I've had people in my subdivision ask me to do the same service as this group is offering. The deer were eating the flowers right out of their pots.

I was more than happy to volunteer my services free of charge.
