I don't think anyone here said there weren't any cougars in PA but I don't believe that the PAGC released them. I hear it all the time here, from the NCWC releasing coyotes, to cougars, to my personal favorite "dropping rattlesnakes from helicopters into state parks". I don't doubt that there are cougars here in NC, I've seen tracks that I could only identify as cougar but if you listen to how insane it sounds that they are released. Think about the amount of time and money you are talking about? It's not like you can run down to the local CougarMart and by a dozen of them.....

Understood, I may be out of line a lil about the GC releasing them. That is yet to be proven. But it is a fact they are here. I dont appreciate someone trying to make an ass out of me for something i seen with my own eyes. Thats going to get me a lil ticked off! Guess time will tell what they figure out.

If anyone should take a minute and shut their mouth you may want to consider it. You are the one that claimed PGC was releasing cougars, not anyone else. You took things off track when you made up that little bit about PGC releasing them. But now, I should just shut my mouth because I pointed these things out? Don't make up a bunch of credibility damaging BS and you may not have some of these problems.

Anyway. I like posting here so forgive me if I don't take you up on your advice .

PA,how can you prove that your friends dead cougar was released by the state? It couldnt have been an escaped/released pet or a migrant? The other article you linked to your post is nothing more than another man's opinion.Dont believe everything you read,you have to be able to think for yourself. Also, the amish cougar had a state ear tag? Proof please. Not likely.Think about what you are saying man. You claim it is a big conspiracy and a cover-up that the state released a pair of cougars in each 6 county area, but first, they put ear tags in them!!!!Put down the cool-aide and give up on the return of Hale-Bop dude. Iowa has had a few cougars sighted and even hit by cars and a couple shot. Does that mean the state released them? No, but we have a few folks like yourself that will swear to it. Always someone saying they know it for a fact but can never come up with any substance to their belief. If a state wants fewer deer, that is very easy, more tags and liberal seasons can put a herd in check in one or two years.By the way, dont bother buying your tags for this Fall, the world is coming to an end on Thursday. At least thats what somebody told me.

I retracted that statement, my personal belief is they have something to do with it or did at one time. My main point of this thread is the group who is calling themselves professional hunters, and are feeding people a bunch of crap. We then got on the deer population topic. I mention its not good to believe everything the GC says, and state an example of them saying there isnt any big cats roaming PA, and I've personally seen one. And now we get into a huge fued of this and that. Give me your opinions on the original topic. And let me know how or if any other groups are doing similiar in your area and if you agree.

Bruce I will note you think there are not "cougars" in PA. So you dont feel the need to try and act Tommy Tougnuts and say their arent. Now can we go back on topic or let this die.
