I grew up in northern MN. by canada-My grandpa gave me a 4-10 shotgun a boat and a moter when I was 9 and that gun was my pride and joy.Of course I killed my fair share of partraige before a deer,as far as bowhunting for deer I was 15 when I started bowhunting alone.My dad grew up in CO. so he did`nt see mn. the same way I always have but about three years ago I baught him a bowtech alligiance and he`s now an avid bowhunter as well.

My dad passed away when I was 2 so I never knew him. My mom would get up at 4:30 in the am and drive me to where I hunted. She would stay and sleep in the car and I'd come back when done. The woman was a Saint.

I was running around in the woods by myself with bb gun or recurve bow and steel traps when I was oh, maybe 7? Maybeyounger. I know I got my first shotgun when I was 8.
Hardly any deer back then. So I didn't really start deerhunting until I was out of college. Of course, by then.. there was hardly any place left to hunt in NW 'burbs of Chicago. [:@]
