Also I guess I was lucky, first time I bowhunted I was 15 and had been preparing all year for that moment. My dad woke up in the morning and gave me a ride out there. 90 minutes later I called him up needing him to help me get my deer out of the woods. He took off work to come out and help me. I guess I was one of the lucky ones.

I think it is great he wants to bow hunt! But I am not his parents they may just really don't want him to bowhunt for what ever reason. Until he is a little older he may have no choice in the matter. As said before there are alot worse things he could want tobe doing but we aren't the ones raising him.

Wow, thanks for the support but sending money is not needed. I make money off other people being lazy, aka mowing lawns for $40 bucks a pop. Have 5 lawns a week to do so that keeps me busy. My dad just baught 2 four wheelers, A 750i Brute Force and KFX700 V force and I bet we will go fourwheeling which is like 4 hour drive down to PA before he takes me to a bowshop. As far as grades being mentioned, this post or the other 1, im ranked 10th in my class of 300ish kids. O well going to be 16 in 12 months and can drive myself 6 months after that I Thnink, Mabey ill get a job at the proshop so I can leagally drive there after 3 months.

I put a post on your other one that basically says where do you live? Maybe one of us lives in your town and would pick you up. Heck I am always looking for some young (and dumb) shoulders to pull hogs out of the woods (and corn in). You might find a good hunting buddy in here to that makes trips worth while.

Well son I hope you can find your way there, I just would not want to be the parent that regrets not doing it later...Not a bash on your folks son, but Im a parent and teacher I see lots of bad things happen to kids without any encouragement from home that's all Im saying...Bowhunting/hunting is the only reason I turned out OK. I loved it so much I was affraid to act up for fear that I would lose my right to hunt.
