Calm down! I'll give respect when its due. But its nice that you stick up for your buddy Dr. Phil. Its obvious I struck a nerve. Thanks again for making me feel like Im in highschool.

David and I aren't exactly "chums".....but someone posting here OBVIOUSLY doesn't know him.

He deserves a little more respect than he's getting (UNDERSTATEMENT).A high post count (I NEVER look at them) doesn't mean someone should be berated, either.

Freakin PETTY doesn't even begin to describe this.

When you stop acting like you're in HS....the atmosphere will change.

The only thing you struck a nerve on....is when you make personal references/statements about people you know nothing about. It's out of bounds. It's disrespectful.

That's all.

The problem with a low post count is.....it usually means you haven't been around very long. That becomes important......when the people who HAVE been around a while KNOW David was kidding with his "God" reference (well....kinda).

Maybe its because your from New York that you think your GOD. Any ways it sounds like with 17299 posts that your single and don't have a life so I pitty you for that.
This guy you're talking about (and NOT kidding)......served in Vietnam. Served for MANY, many years.....and lost the love of his life a couple years ago.

Yeah....I'd say he deserves better than that.[:@]

Just stick a sock in it, Stab. You're the ONLY one looking like an ass.

Can't speak for others although I know where your coming from, but as for myself it's what is written that concerns me. If it's interesting I could care less if the numer is -1.

I am sure that I am going to start a riot with this. That is not my reasoning behind this post but I have seen a bunch of threads where those of us get bashed for lack of a better term for not having hundreds of threads would someone please explain why this is.
There are some people on the forums who have been members for quite a while, yet have a low post/thread count. There are also those who have been members for a short period of time, yet have huge post/thread counts. And lastly, there are the folks who just became members and have very few posts/threads.
Ibelieve some people think since you just started on the forums (low post/thread count) your knowledge/experience might be limited. The problem is, this often is not the case. Post/thread count is NOT RELITIVE to one's knowledge. So a person really needs to be open minded and listen/read more than post/talk when starting out. JMHO

Also keep in mind that there is a "feeling out" stage of new members. Remember that we have never met you before and this is even less personal since we can't see you or shake your hand.

Just like when you actually meet someone in person there is a feeling out stage. It just takes less time in person than it does typing on the internet.

I would have to disagree. When I made my first post after lurking for awhile as a guest I was welcomed without hesitation. It might be the contents rather then the post count that a member supplies that may cause a stir. Either way good luck.

Bottom line .... most new guys are ignored, unless they hit someones sacred cow ..... dislike has NOTHING to do with it ...it's a trust thing IMO

Stabnslab Wi,
I've been here since the beginning, member #76 I beleive and havenever been know to bash ,incite, push buttons etc. Just ask Rob or the guy your arguing with, GMMAT.

I've also said post count ought to be done away with. Serves no purpose IMO.
