Of those of you who are NOT currently an organ donor...
If I were to create a non-profit organization who's goal was to get more outdoorsman to sign up to be an organ donor, do you think this new organization might pursuade you to to sign up in your respective states?
Much like the Hunters for the Hungry programs in various states, this new organization may reinforce the positive image of outdoorsman in the eye of the general public.

Huntinman, thanks for the reply.
I was hoping for a better "yes" response rate.
Looks like I have a lot of work to do to make a change...it will be worthwhile.

I agree.
Donating all the time and money in the world will not help a, Mother, Father, Son or Daughter that needs a organ.
This is our way (the outdoorsman), once again, of giving something back to nature...human nature.
Thanks for the replies.

I did it when I recieved my Driver's license years ago. In Illinois it on your license. I don't see why anyone wouldn't be, what are you going to need your organs for when you die. It's good they have it on your D.L. I expect that many people who die in car wrecks still have some usable organs and they can tell immediately if they can find you D.L. on you. When my buddy passed away tragically, he wasin his 20'sand all of his organs were usable. He saved 3 lives because he was an organ donor. If I go too early, those doctors better be ready to go, cause they can take it all, heck, I won't need them anymore.

I think alot of people are scared to donate organs. Just from hearing people talk,t hey believe that some Dr.'s will (for lack of a better word) pull the plug early so they can harvest your organs. Not sure how true it is or how many times its has happened, but that is just something I have heard different people say. I am in no way saying its true..
