Odd organ in deer
I am trying to figure out what the organ is that I discovered in my buck. It was located in the pelvis. It was discovered four days after field dressing. the deer was dressing on Saturday and was butchered on Wednesday. The odd organ was discovered while sawing through the pelvis. It contained a clear fluid. Apon further inspection it was seen to have what looked to be "ribbed" on one side. It looked a bit like a "nut sack". I have done some research and think it may be an undescended testical or possibly a vestigial epididymis of a pseudohermaphroditic dear. My question is, has anyone ever seen something similar?

I know cryptorchidism effects horses and a number of other animals. It's quite possible this buck may have been chryptorchid. Guess you'd have to know if he had 2 fuzzy plums dropped or not to determine that.

You are probably seeing the bladder. When there is not a lot of unine in the bladder it will collapse down and appear ribbed. At this stage it is white or pinkish-white and about the size of a golf ball. The more urine you have the bigger it is. As its gets bigger the ribs disappear.
Could have also been a cyst.
