OLD BOWS

You reckon that might've had something to do with how you shot with it?
We used to put a heckuvalot more arrows downrange than most of today's guys do. I figured up one time with my normal practice routines and tournaments, I was shooting right around 100,000 arrows a year.
I'd venture an educated guess and say that it was in my hands about 3 hours a day.

I'd love to see some of these youngsters shoot a couple field rounds with their 70# bows. See how accurate they still are at shot number 112 at the end. Then half a field round every day for practice.
And this after shooting maybe 30 arrows for a warm up.

My PSE Carrol Intruder. Still have it and still put the Bowtech down everyonce in awhile and hunt with it. I still shoot the crap out of it. Mongoose setup and I've been through three sets of limbs on the thing. That bow holds special memories. 1st buck, 1st buck on the ground with no blind, 2 P&Y bucks and several does. My dad gave it to me when I was 16 and I've had it ever since and will have it the rest of my life.

I would go back to 1989 and buy back my Martin Tiger compound that I killed my first deer with in 1986.
I would put it on my wall in my hunting room and tell a story about it....
and then post a kill with it now....
22 years later....
A pic from 1986...and a pic from 2008.
When will all you fellas start getting into the sentimental side of it....Get in it!!! Put down the whistles....I still got yer back...relax ......

I have my dads old bow. A early to mid 1970's vintage ben Pearson Shadow 100 compound, 50-60lbs. I shoot it almost everyday. Just bought a new sight for it(not in the pic). almost perfect shape.

and My great uncle was damon howatt. And I have one of his bows he made in the 50's. A 45lb recurve.
