I could crank it up to 70lbs and shoot a lighter arrow and get close to 300fps,but man I do love my heavy arrows. You never no I might want to go elephant hunting! lol.
I just ordered weight tubes for mine after having MECHDOC run some of the numbers for me, with the weight tubes it will put me around 500gr and yes I will loose some speed but the KE is worth it to ME....

I haven't even started thinking about what arrows to get yet. First things first!

This is JMO but I think heavy arrows have so many more advantages than lighter arrows at least for my style and type of hunting, and what I mean by that is that most of my hunting sets will have me with 30yrd shots or less and I just don't need all the speed that a light arrow can offer, plus a heavy arrow adsorbs more of the bows energy therfor making the bow quieter and less hand shock not to mention it is easer on the bow itself, some guys shoot arrows so light it's almost like dry firing, that can't be good on the bow and it's parts. And with a heavy arrow and I hit a big bone my arrow will do more damage than it's lighter counter part. Now if I was hunting out west were a 60 yard shot was common ten I would lighting up a little.

I agree 100% I used to shoot around 450 till I built new arrows and am just now finding the weight tubes....

The BowTech Commander really is a Sweet shooter and I feel like it is a very Good choice for the longer draw archers.

You owe it to yourself to at least go shoot it, and that is a Super deal.

I'm going to shoot it later this week. The owner of the shop said that he will hold it for me until I sell my Switchback. The shop is a little over an hour away so I can't just run there during lunch.[:@]

unless you are shooting something that is an absolutly massive creature, you dont need alot of KE, just a well placed shot.

$500 is a great deal on a Commander especially if it's new and has full warranty. I honestly like it better than the Guardian but that's just my personal opinion.
