If i remember correctly i thought that deer was killed on some kind of preserve. Not positive though
Though typically a trustworthy site.....I tend to believe the recent NAW article in this matter.
It's not claiming to be the world's heaviest (it would miss by almost ONE HUNDRED POUNDS). And......similar deer (recorded 380lbs) have been killed near there.
