I'm usually thinking...."damn its hot!" or "freaking mosquitos!"

My first thought...."What the hell is that trophy buck doing showing up 45 minutes before its legal to shoot! And why is he not sticking around!?!"

i hear that

my first year hunting my first day hunting i am driving down to a cabin/ house i was buying to get ready 1/2mile from my spot i see 8 deer three bucks 5 does one of the buck had to be 130 plus now this would be my first deer

i thought i could step out of the car draw down on him and get him

but it was about 1 hour before sunlight but light enough i could see him enough to shoot

my dad said lets go to the house and you can get ready walk down here
My thoughts where i am going to bag my first deer a trophy size buck on my first day with out going into the woods 500 yards from my house.

I got ready time came i went back they were gone

"I hope the dog hunting idiots don't decide to 'exercise' their hounds today."

If my dad shoots one this year in the first 5 minutes again Im gonna kick his butt!!!!! Every yearI think this, every year he fills his tag instantly, never scouts, never does anything. But.....Mine has always been bigger just have to try harder.

I get in my stand about 30 min. before light .Once i'm in safety belt is on bow pulled up and ready to go put face mask on sit back and listen to the sounds in the woods.Trying so hard to hear that buck making his way upthe fence line and hoping he doesn't get to me before light. Oh and i say a little prayer asking god to please let me see deer even if i don't get a shot just let me see them roaming the woods.

More than likely I will be thinking:

"Man, it's hot."

Or

"I sure hope this season isn't as anti-climatic as last season."
