I feel somewhat respected. And believe it is justified. I don't however DEMAND RESPECT!

Being that sarcasm is present in about 95% of my posts I'm sure I piss some people off, but it's all in good fun.

As far as being popular, I didn't care about that in high school so I sure as hell don't care about it now.

I enjoy my participation here.My goal is to benefit from the experience and wisdom of others and hopefully to contribute something in return. The reality is that we all love hunting and are pretty consumed by it and this is a great outlet to keep the fires burning!
I would like to be respected (I think we all would wish that)I am not concerned with popularity.Probably more interested in respect from those I respect,to me that is the ultimate.

What a great post to follow....as I concur.

"Infamous" may be the better term.....lol......but I assuredly () seek to win no popularity contests. Those who know me either like me or don't....and that's pretty true in real-life outside the net. I won't pull punches......but if you're someone I respect.....me casa es su casa.....and I'd do anything in the world for you.

I try to spend about 3-4 minutes every 6-8 months worrying about what others think about me. The rest of the time.....i figure it's their problem.

There's a continngency of HNI'ers that I have the utmost respect for....and would share my woods, home and anything else with. The rest.....honestly.....I couldn't care less about.

"Popular"?.....lol I think someone said, once.....There's no such thing as "bad press". I be's their poster child.

I used to be on here a lot more at my old job. I was basically gone for 3 months since I didn't have the site up all the time. Now that I've moved and have a new job, I'm hoping to get more involved again. I just want to be able to learn more about the sport/animal that we all love and hopefully contribute or help others as much as possible!

When you spend enough time on here, you almost can’t help but making a connection with what other people have to say. Conversely some people are going to say & believe things counter to what your mindset is. Over time a lot of us have really gotten to know each other and start having fun talking about other things besides hunting, just as most people probably would in any other type of setting. As time goes on, people’s individual personality sticks out and some become more “popular” than others for whatever reason. Ain’t no big deal, just normal human social behavior. (Add one probably important fact though-MANY times I am sure it is difficult for a person’s true intent and meaning to be expressed completely thru only words & smilies. This has for sure caused some mis-understandings)

As for me, I pretty much figure I fit in here as I do in my normal life. The kind of guy that most everyone knows & likes, but is a little plain. I don’t do flashy things to gain a following, but I “usually” don’t make waves and tick people off either. Laid back and even keeled. (unless it involves X-bows)
Maybe my perception of how people see me is way off and yinz all think I’m a dork. Who knows?

This post is one that I hate to see people reverting to. I joined this site as a reference point to learn from others. This means that if I have a question it should be read and answered completely unbiased. It should not depend on how well Im liked on here, what click I belong to, how many posts are under my name, etc.

If I wanted all of that junior high school drama I would have joined a chatroom so I could sit and type all day and night about how I feel towards others. The last time I checked, and the reason I joined, the name of this site was HuntingNet.com. I understand that to mean its a network of hunting enthusiasts that share tactics, tips, and stories of hunting related topics.

I utilize just about every forum on this site, from wildlife management, fishing, turkey hunting, deer hunting, and the technical forum when I am having problems with my gear. I do not reply to a post to just say "cool", or "X2" to watch my post count go up...as I see some with tens of thousands of posts with only a handful of threads started concerning any meaningful hunting information.

I could really care less if people on here respect me enough to consider me one of them. Its so hard to put a face or personality to typing, but there are a handful of people on here I respect more than others.

I have read Shultzy's stuff, magicman's, Vabowman's, GMMAT, peakruts's, Rob/Pa's, and a dozen others stuff that has content, as well as knowledgeable content. Some I never see post anything anywhere else than the bowhunters forum, but who am I to judge. This thread asked for such an opinion, so I am giving it. Otherwise you would never catch me judging anyones opinions or knowledge as I read everything with an open mind.

To me this post sounds like someone needs a pat on the back, or a dozen "atta boys" to feed on their lack of humility. I dont personally know anyone here other than those who have PM'ed me and expressed a desire to meet up and shoot some arrows, scout some land, hang a stand, or give me advice on my clover plot...and those people have earned my respect. Hopefully this weekend I will have the opportunity to meet a couple regulars on here to do what we are all here to do...share our passion for hunting. Not give a rats arse who is popular, or thinks they are.

To me, people who simply reply to a post to set some kind of posting record, are more conceded than knowledgeable or here to help others.

OK, Im done. And I didnt vote because I dont know you well enough to judge your sexuality, and the other choices just feed my argument of this post.

Again...I am signing my waiver of simply applying my honest opinion. Opinions should not be taken as a direct attack on any individual, but rather someones thoughts that may be outside of the box you are in.
Now that's a good post bud
