Hunting experience expressed in photos

For whatever reason I have a hard time explaining what hunting means to me and the emotions that run through me each time I hunt. I love pictures and for some reason I seem to understand the meaning of pictures better than I do the written word in terms of grasping the true emotion/meaning/inspiration someone is trying to present. Please post pictures that you feel sum up your attitude toward hunting or the feelings you get from hunting. Can be personal photos or anything you want.

Something about that type of hunting draws me to it. I've shot deer from the ground before with my bow and it just never gets old. I can only imagine the adrenaline that would be released if I shot a deer with a recurve from the ground.

David, I agree with you about the floppy hats! I love em. I had my best luck hunting hat ever stolen about 3 years ago. I was bummed. I had to buy two more just to make up for it!

Bob, the third pic is awesome. Although I don't particularly like the end to my hunting day, I love the sunset in the woods and get a sense of accomplishment for the effort I put forth when I am walking out. That picture brings back those memories.

I thought this was pretty sweet. I guess it falls under the penumbra of "hunting experiences" captured on film.

Before.

After.

Virginia, you have to tell me where to get a print of that. Perfect for my cabin.

Anyway, your son may look closer to this on his first hunt. :D

Bob-hahahaha! You are probably right about that pic above!

That picture is from an artist named Jack Paluh. He has some incredible stuff.

This picture was taken after a long day of rabbit hunting in the mud and melting snow of lateFebruary. Oh and after a bath too. I think it sums up the total contentment that I also feelafter a long day in the woods.

Taking someone who never hunted hunting and watching them turn into one of us.

My good friend who started hunting 3 years ago and his enthusiasm is contagious, these are just the pics I have hehas taken several more deer and this season we will get the bow deer. Last pic is him and my youngest.

My good friend Steve and his first bow deer ever last season(below).

Take someone hunting if you can!

Mine center more around good friends.....and the good times I remember.

Here's a few.....

This first one was right after I found out I was going to have to put my Lab, Ashley, down. I'd just found out her kidneys were failing....and I knew we didn't have much time. She'd been such a good friend and hunter (waterfowl) ....and I wanted to take her on one more "hunt". I was blessed with this doe .....like a gift....and the whole family loaded up the trailer and we went to let her help me track this one. I drug her out into a field....and let her "find" her. I won't ever forget that night.

My first deer.....

My '06 and '07 8-pointers......captured, together, in sthe summer of '06. I've always liked the fact that I had this photo of them.

The first time I got to witness someone shoot a deer. Frank (Brknarrow from HNI) shot her late one evening.....and it's one of my most memorable hunting experiences (the shot....the trail....everything) to date. Congrats, buddy....and thank you.

One of my '08 turkey hunts found me surrounded by critters.......

Friends....

Front.....L-R.....Kurt (Q2inwhitetails); Denny "Wags" (trkycaller); Rob (Rob/PA Bowyer); Back L-R.....Matt (Matt/PA) and me.

Views from Rob/PA's food plot stand......

What a beautiful PA evening.....

Definition of (see Matt/PA) a ****-eatin'-grin.

Make your own guesses "who";)

Lotta good memories go with those......
