To me, a buck's "core" area is the one in which he spends the vast majority of his time, whether that is bedding, feeding, or doing whatever else.
Holy ****! This is SOOoo close to deer hunting "gospel", it's scary.

OK, you were confusing me before with the 40 and 80 acre bedding area talk.
I was just giving examples. Throwing out numbers.

So let me clarify this.

A "core bedding area" you believe can be less than 1 acre, given the proper conditions. Although in many cases is most likely a larger area.

A mature whitetail can have several of these core bedding areas, the aggregate sum of which is his "core area" in general.Meaning that's where the spends the most of his time, whether that is bedding, feeding, or otherwise staying alive.

Is this correct?

Ok but....by definition.....is it even possible to have more than 1 core area? Wouldn't there be 1 CORE area and possibly several more "satellite" areas??

See.....I can post back to back!

That's cool........ even though I can't see what you're talking about.

Can you count to 10 without using any fingers or toes?

Well you can't make up words to describe anything to do with deer hunting unless you make DVDs, write books, or have killed a bunch of big bucks and have them in your avatar. Sorry mobow, come back in a few years when you know what you're talking about.

Kinda.

I'll draw you a map with cool mazes in it for you to understand later.

I can explain it better in person.. than via internet.

Plus.. I'm benching 325 lbs. right now as I type this.. which makes it harder for me too.
