I admit I do not put in enough time "buck scouting" just prior to the season...ie: glassing to consistently get on a nice deer. The only thing close I have ever done in the early season is spot a 7 pointer in velvet over the summer, then killed him the first week of the season on his way to the same large field. He was eating persimmons and making a small rub line when I shot him. Other than that, I would really like to hear you alls comments about early season buck hunting, I have alot to learn.

I would like to add though that buckmstr (Dan Infult)a member here and part of bloodbro.com is the exception as he mostly wacks public land bucks.
Not sure how pressured the areas are but heck he gets some fine ones anyways.
