Being a "city" guy, to hunt I have to wake up at 1:30A.M. then shower, get my stuff together and drive at least 2 hours, dress in the car and finally head into the woods. I'm not complaining but rather wondering how many other hunters do similar.At the age of 52 it's getting harder to do. My friends and wife think I'm nuts, but I love it!

I live in brooklyn also and have the same problem. It sucks, but you do what you got to do!

I have public hunting grounds all around me but I haven't hunted near home in years.I drive almost 3hrs to my cabin every weekend

Well call me spoiled but i have major deer trails within throwing distance of my house. I live in rural Ohio, and it is heaven on earth.

about 3hrs from my deer spot....usually do the motel the night before, have done the driving in the am...but then you're falling asleep in the stand I find.....

it does get annoying, but they dont make closeby farms.....and I think once the cash comes...I'll still be doing the same thing, except staying at my own place on my own land....

I live in Winnipeg MB Can..... the capitol city of our province. I drive 1 1/2hrs to hunt deer and bear. Elk is 2 hrs although I haven't gone yet and moose is farther

I live on Longisland.. and like the first two guys on this thread i drive at minimum 3 hours.. to state land.. and 5 hours to buddies property.. which sucks.. i close the Rest. i work at, at 1:30 am.. with car stocked and ready to go i take off, change in the car and go straight into the woods.. if im lucky i get an hour or 1/2 hour of wink in the car, but that never happens and i take mini 10 min naps on the tree stand.. either that.. or sit home .. so .. i do the all nighter thing.. and it aint as ez as it used to be.
