What made you join HNI??
 

I am curious as to what made you lurkers, you know who you were join? A buddy of mine MdDave was actually a member on here and told me about it so I had to check it out. I lurked for probably 2-3 weeks before finally joining.

I joined because of all the good reviews I was hearing about the Slick Tricks. I HAD a bad experience I felt I needed to share with all the slick trick lovers, so I had to get my opinion out! I told my long drawn out bad experience with the broadheads. I offended some people, but what really surprised me was the owner of slick tricks also read my post and replied to me with his honest answers for all the public to read. He offered me a FREE new pack of replacement broadheads to pursuade me of my bad experience with the broadheads and I took him up on his offer! I used them last year, and I AM NOW HOOKED!!! GREAT BROADHEAD WITH GREAT ACCURACY,PENETRATION, AND SUPER CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!

So that is what has kept me coming back to HNI!!! Some good people on here!!

I was looking up reviews on No flash cuddebacks and the page came up as HNI. After about the 3rd time I finally checked it out and joined up. What was I thinking!?!;)

I moved from the Michigan sportsman forum in search for another forum...after I surfed around here...I realize that I was not just in Michigan...I was chatting with guys all around the world....and I was learning, learning, learning...

And then I joined...and now my wife thinks I'm a nut...And now I yawn alot and drag at work....because of guys like Shultzy and Magic, and all the others I chat with....they keep me up too late...but the passion of hunting does this to us...DARN IT!!

I joined way back in 2000 when Bush and Gore were facing off. I was active on the hunting politics threads arguing about the Second Amendment and electing a pro-gun guy.

I was trying to find people that have the same passion for bow hunting as I do.Most people out there just dont understand.I checked thissite out and signed up.I did not make my first post till about 8 months later.I have since made several friends on here that are in my area and around the country that I know I would have never met before.Thanks HNI.

googled "whitetail hunting" and this came up and after scanning a few forums i thot id give it a try and now im on here at least 3 or 4 hours a day

These guys in dark shaded sunglasses came to my house and threatened to break my knees if I didn't join and defuge all my knowledge on hunting. I've been a prisoner here since a few melts downs and still can't escape. Sometimes I wish the death penalty was legal here. ;)

I was turned on to Archery Talk by a friend at work. I never felt comfortable there, too much bickering going on. I stumbled upon HuntingNet and it didn't take long to realize that the people here are a lot friendlier. I still visit the "other" site occasionally but HuntingNet forums are my homepage.

I was never a lurker actually, i was looking at posted trail camera pictures online a few years ago after i got my pic of that big 13 point (that you have all seen a million times ;)) and i decided to join a few websites so i could post it up. This one was BY FAR the best though, and started coming regularly.

Hot Bot-ed " hunting " since Google wasn't around yet or I hadn't heard of it. Pretty much lurked for a few years until they had their first bow contest. Joined that and started posting there. Got to know a few guys and finally started posting on thethis forum. Other then reading the journals, I spend all my time in this forum or the bow contest forum as I enjoy them the most. Lot of good people here.

New place to get / share information. I was not a lurker; I looked over several post, responses, and the rules to get a general feel before registering.

It was Tuco (back then Honcho2) of all people that told me about it. I joined, then forgot about it for a couple years before i really participated. He lured me in then started bashing me about my sexy fingers [8D]:DSince joining i have met around 30 members from here, all great people ;)

I had shoulder surgery back in august of 2007 and while having nothing to do I found HNI and been hooked ever since. ;)

I was looking up reviews on trail cameras and one of them was HNI, I looked at it and was on the computer for about 2 days whenI realized I was at home, most of you guys are as sick with it as I am....After reading on the forums for a couple months I joined and wish I had found this back in the mid 90's when I was really getting started, this is a great place for information and a simple way to get a few different opinions....

I don't even remember. I was probably bored at the time and looking for something to do. I've been around here 8-9 years...I think.
I do remember that when I joined I thought it was just a "fad" that I didn't think would hold up very long.

I was looking for information on Idaho Whitetail hunting.I joined because of the Western Hunting forum,shortly there after I Pm'd Shed33 and a friendship developed.Lot's of nice folks and good information here.
