My bear is finally done!!! Updated with wall pics on page 7
 

As many of you know I had problems with my Taxidermist finishing up a bear for me. Well finally after 8 years its home where it belongs. He is almost 8' long from head to toe. He dressed out at 325lbs and scored 20 5/16. The other bear (night hitter) that I did a thread on will make this guy look small!

Here he is the night I shot him back in 2000. I'm the young pup in the pic.


Here he is now in a rug mount. He won't be on the floor for long. I've got to get a few things so I can get him hung up on the wall.

He has a light blonde strip going down the middle of is back.

Schultzy, congrats on the rug buddy. Getting that thing may have been more of a challenge than the hunt.;)

It looks great though and that is a beautiful rug. I bet you're smiling like a butcher's dog right now.

Schultzy congrats man, That is a huge bear!!! Mine was #500 and went 7 foot and I thought that was a monster, man 8 foot that is huge!! Congrats again they look alot a like!!

Schultzy, He an 18 1/2 in scull!! and looked like a mac truck coming in!! My only regret is I wish I would have made a full mount out of him because I don't have floor space and he takes up a whole wall. Now my wife is understanding but she gave me the wall going down stairs for two years and said that thing has to go!! So now it's at my mom and dads and they took a whole wall and hung the bear and then put pictures of my deer and my brothers fish all around it..

Fantastic looking bear and mount!

To be perfectly honest with you....it's too nice to put on the floor. I'd be too afraid it would get ruined. If it were mine I'd find a way to put it on the wall. Either that or I'd make the room it was in "off limits" to the rest of the family.:D:D:D

18 8/16, thats a biggin! Congrats man! I wanted to do a full mount on this one too. He quoted me 1200.00 on a full mount, I should of done it but then again I may have never gotten in back. No I didn't bring my 07' buck there, no way in hell!;) I brought it to a different Taxidermist that just specializes in Whitetails. I had my buck back in 4.5 months.

Thanks bud!! It won't be on the floor for too long. I've got to get some rings and sew it to the underside of all the feet and also the head. When I get it up on the wall (white wall) I'll post a pic.
