I am sure you all have been asked a million times about bow suggestions but I know there are some out there that just like giving advice, so here is another one. I am in the market for my second bow, my first was a Martin Magnum that I shot very little that turned into a carp bow and was still only shot a little. I now want to get back into it and want to find out which top three I should compare for around 600 bucks for just the bow. I thought by looking at the ads that 600 might be a good figure to get me something of high quality but if I need to break that price point I will. I know that a lot of you will suggest trying as many as I can but being such a novice am I going to know the difference, can I not just buy my favorite and get in tune with it. I have a tendancy to over analyze things and think if I starttesting a bunch I will confuse myself more. Thanks for the advice Travis of Denver CO.

I would check out the diamond series bows. They are cheaper but still very nice bows comparable to some of the top names. The Marquisand black ice might be alittle out of price range, but the rest of there lineup are worth checking out

I recently purchased an '08 Bowtech Tomkat package and the dealer threw in a half dozen arrows and a release, I was ready to shoot for $638.00 with tax.

I think that the Rock and the Justice are great deals for beginner bows from the Diamond line. But if I were you I would skip on up to the intermediate level bow in the Black Ice. Altough do not get me wrong, the Rock is a great bow and is even a tad faster than my Black Ice! I still cannot quite understand that part but hey......

I sure like the price, looks and stats on that JUSTICE, would I be stupid to buy before trying and what would be the major difference in performance between the JUSTICE and BLACK ICE?

I would never call anyone stupid (Well Maybe I would), but you really should shoot a bow before buying it. The purpose of shooting first is not really to judge the difference in performance, but to see which bow feels better to you and that is something that nobody on here can do for you. So, take to trip to your shop and should two or three bows and make your decision based on that. I know plenty of guys who thought they had their minds made up and changed after shooting shooting a few bows.
