I have shot the 3D selects for hunting and consider the weight of the shaft to be a little on the light side. I like a heavier shaft for hunting. Any of the major brands are good. Just a little info as far as weight.
Beman ICS hunter (400)- 8.4 grains/inch
Gold Tip (5575)- 8.5 gr/inch
CX Hunter (300)- 9.4 gr/inch
CX Terminator - 11-12 gr/inch
I personally like the gold tips. I am shooting Beman ICS hunters now for 3D. I will probably go with the Terminators or CX hunter for hunting. I rarely shoot over 30yards while hunting whitetails. I had rather have penetration over trajectory.
just my opinion.

I use the Carbon Express 3D for 3D shoots and Blackhawk vapors for hunting. I know guys that shoot the CE for both 3d and hunting, but for hunting they add the weight tubes which come in 2 & 3grains per inch and are inexpensive. I have had noe problem with the durability of the Carbon Express, tough as nails.

see i would really like an arrow that i could use for 3d and hunting so i dont have to change my sight between hunting season and 3d shoots. because at times they are real close together.. know i was looking at the beman web sight and with my draw length they suggest the 500 so maybe i could go with the ics camo hunter in a 500 that way i get a little lighter arrow and the camo.
