I used Repel Permanone this year during Turkey season and never got one wood tick. You can only spray it on your clothes because it's so strong. It works wonders.

I learned that back when I was judging hounds in AKC licensed trials

A good trick:
Put on a pair of womans stockings under your jeans. When you get home, strip out of your clothing and hang them outside(ticks will eventually fall off or get blown off. Take the stockings and throw them away.
Duranon is a GREAT tick repellant.
I've been getting hit pretty hard with the ticks, too. Its just part of the gig...

I heard if you stand on one foot, and jump up and down forty 42 seconds and tap the top of your head while doing this...
What about garlic around your neck, it's supposed to work on Dracula??
Sorry I had to joke, it just struck me funny

This stuff is fantastic. The area I live in has a VERY high concentration of ticks, and usually most people have them after the local 3D shoots. I use the Permanone stuff as shown in the pic above and have yet to get a tick on me while I was wearing it. I've seen others at the same shoots with 20-30 ticks on them and I don't even have one. It's great stuff.

Thanks guys, Man my skin has been crawling since the weekend! I was going to ask if the Repel was scented. This is going to be my first bow hunt / normally hunt rifle, and all those ticks had me wondering if I really wanted to put up with that. You really dont see that many ticks come winter in Wisconsin.

Hey Noah I used that lastnight when I went fishing on the Black River....works great! Except for the tick I pulled off my neck lastnight and the one on my arm....but im sure I picked them up before I sprayed down and put my coat on.
