I use the foodsaver a little but I usually package my wild game in water. It takes up alot of space in the freezer, but the meat stays good.
It does take up a lot of space. The meat stays fresher much ,much longer with the food vac bags. Fish frozen in water will lose flavor. Venison will also lose flavor. Game will still freezer burn badly in water. Compare crappie filets frozen in water and vac. bags after 4 or 5 months. There is no comparison in the taste. I freeze everything in vac. sealed bags. It's well worth the money.
