RE: Farthest bull eyes practice shot?
I have shot out to 100 in a smoker round at a 3-d shoot... my arrow never came back I practice up to 60 yards. Im not good at that range by all means but can kill a standing still 3-d target ,if the range is known.

I shoot to 60 yards with a range finder...if all the elements are lined up and a deer is feeding relaxed in a openfield at 60 yards with no wind....
I will shoot with confidence at 50-55...only with my Nikon.
This is not a normal day for me...I like 25 and in...
Whats up dude?!!!

RE: Farthest bull eyes practice shot?
my pins allow me to shoot at 60 yards at the farthest so that is the farthest back I will shoot. I shoot that far away becuase it shows my mistaces better so I can then know what to improve on. when I shoot 30's and 40's I cream me bro & dad who don't practice like I do. they just shoot till they are tired and then call it a night, while I am profecting my form and re-inforceing it they are wasting time.[&:] ohh well, guess Ill just have to teach them the hard way!!1
P.S. lots of friends have commented on how they think I am wasting time shooting at any thing over 30, and several told me not to shoot over 30. I tried telling them what shooting 10-20 yards further back than you intend to (say durring hunts) is the way to become a expert shot on game but no they dont believe me, and hold to "no shooting over 30 allowed" like rule. [&:][&:][>:][>:] I just dont listen to them any more, and told them if they don't like the way I target practice then they don't have to be here on me land and should leave not tell me how to shoot.

I practice out to 60 all the time as stated it really helps when you move in close. By the time season gets here I am pretty comfortable at 50 yds on a calm deer in the field. That being said the longest shot on a deer for me has been 42 yds. I always have my rangefinder and I use a single pin that I can move out to around 90 yds. But I only have room to shoot 60.

I practice at 60 yds almost daily. When I can hit bulls and group well at 60 those 20-30 yard shots are a piece of cake. I can and have shot in my yard at 110 yds. I did hit the bag at that range.
