I won't shoot a buck unless he's a 4.5 year old deer, only exception would be if a 3.5 year old had a very impressive rack! I consider them trophy's but all in all I consider every animal a trophy that I harvest, weather its a doe fawn or a 140" buck. Weather its a 130lb bear or a 230lb bear, there all trophy's to me!!

I see 3 types of "trophies".
Absolute trophies, which are recognized as the biggest of the particular species.
Regional trophies, which are the top end critters for your particular area.
Individual trophies, which are what ever size/type of animal or the situation surrounding the hunt ofsaid critter that the person who killed it deems it as a trophy.
