your first bow
#11
Got my first new bow when I was 14 (maybe 13)
American Cheetah
45-60 lbs
50% letoff
44 1/4" axle to axle
Took my first buck with this bow (and 2nd and 3rd if truth be known)
Missed quite a few before I took that 6 pointer, had a string tracker back in the day, finally took it off when I lost a buck after the string knotted up midflight and basically stopped the arrow midflight, got enough penetration to break the skin, but that was it, got that buck during the shotgun season, would have probably been a dead deer if not for the string tracker, you could see where the broadhead hit, would have been a double lung shot [

Had it till I was about 21.....Then bumped up to a Darton with 65% let off, it was a screamer of around 230fps, no pictures for that one, still out on loan to my father-in-law....
The Cheetah took a doe 2-3 years ago, a buddy had some issues getting his hunting gear back from a hunt in Alaska, so he took the Cheetah out and got it set up and harvested a doe before his equipment came back.

I started shooting a Bear Grizzly 40lbrecurve back in the early 70's. I must be getting old!

(So am I...)The first bow I ever had was an old Bear Whitetail Hunter that was given to me 20 years ago. The draw length was too long. Trying to learn to shoot, I slapped my arm with the string so many times that I finally just gave it away. I didn't get another bow until January last year.

41# Ben Pearson recurve.
That was back when Ma cut our pockets off so we had something to play with.

PSE Thunderbolt dual cam, great bow for the $$$. Very forgiving, first archery buck taken with this bow along with a handful of others. Passed it down to my buddy who still hunts with it.
