No. I am not a big fan of the P&Y club lately due to their extreme stance on crossbows. Somewhere along the way they turned into an elitist organization.I also do not agree with their position that a typical, symetrical rack is "superior".
I have never joined and really don't know that much about them. I have killed 3 P&Y eligible deer, but it has never been a big deal to me to submit them so I haven't.

However, and I don'tsay thisjust to stir the pot butonly expressing another point of view, if what is stated above is true, I will probably join in the very near future.

I do know they were originally against compound bows and some of their traditionilist still are, but I personally draw the line at crossbows.

And quite frankly, I understand the traditionilist's point of view and don't disagree with their premise either, I just happen to be a weenie who is not proficient with a recurve or longbow and instead uses a compound bow. Therefore,I see it differently just as the crossbow hunter sees it differently than I.

Do I consider myself an elitist? Not at all. I just don't think a crossbow belongs in an Archery only season. Just like I don't think all of these modern muzzleloaders with scopes should be allowed in the Muzzleloader only season.

But as far as an 80% let off compound like I shoot. They are okay.

Am Ia hypocrite?Absolutely.
